Ughhhhhhhhh

So here is my frustration drawn out for logical minded folks to understand. The image at the left shows a diagram of a series of points on a 2d surface projected in a direction to intersect a surface.

The image on the right shows the surface manipulated with the points still operating as expected. Although the surface moves the points still maintain their projection.

As shown in the image on the left, when a surface is deformed to an extreme and a projected point, (which usually has associated 3d geometry linked to it), misses the surface it causes a failure. When this happens the associated geometry fails and causes a domino effect in the software.

I just wish it was truly a software where things were history based where once the points were projected it would remember and they would move with the surface from then on. But that is asking for a strange occurance and would be difficult I guess and bring to light the question of where is the surface home and where does deformation start?

:end rant:
