New York, New York

Oddly enough 5 days in the big apple and I didn't think of ol Frank once. I go to post this and it's the first thing that pops in my head. Well at least it's not some really catchy song. Last week was exhausting but good. It was my first trip to NYC so to take it all in was really not an option, but I did have a good experience for the first trip. All in all we had the opportunity to meet with ARO, FRONT, Ghery Technologies, SHoP Architects, Toshiko Mori, Jamie Carpenter, then a visit to WD~50 to discuss the difference their techniques have on the food industry. (I will include links to all these at the end)

Our Hotel, certainly a interesting setup, no complaints as far as I am concerned, for the price divided by 4 it made it an affordable trip.

Certainly glad I don't have to deal with this to park, I'll probably still complain about parking in Ann Arbor, but at least I don't have to park like this.

Times Square
Central Station (it's not this dark, the photo is stopped down)

Beware of the art Paparazzi

Part of the group up on a hill / rock discussing how to incorporate the surface characteristics into a design.

Yes, this is in NY (the BRONX but it's still NY in my book)

After a long walk one evening a few of us went to see Central Park and Frank Lloyd Wright's NY masterpiece, it was much nicier in person than I had ever imagined.
